Practical guide

Plan the exit before onboarding a consulting team

A small evaluation should have a clear scope, support owner and closure process.

ContractCanvas insights

Agree the initial task

Choose one workflow and a defined group of users. Specify allowed information, support, duration and the record of success. An evaluation should not silently become a production service because someone starts relying on it.

Define responsibilities

Identify who supplies information, who reviews outputs and who handles access or incidents. Explain the available functions and material limitations at the point they affect the user’s decision. Complete the actual agreement and permissions before real information is introduced.

Make exit practical

Decide how the team obtains its records, how access ends and how deletion or lawful retention is handled. Test exports before promising portability. A data schedule should match what the system can actually do.

Record the outcome

At closure, distinguish task findings, a decision to continue and a commercial commitment. ContractCanvas’s local evaluation materials prepare those records, while authenticated access and hosted deletion remain implementation work for a later service. A completed local walkthrough is not a signed customer pilot.
