Practical guide

Turn feedback into a tested release decision

Connect an observation to the affected version, correction and retest.

Capture the trigger

“The pricing screen is confusing” is a starting point. Ask what the person tried to do, what they expected and what happened. Record the engagement version, task and relevant inputs, using permitted information. A precise trigger makes the issue reproducible.

Choose a disposition

An issue may be a defect, a missing explanation, a feature request or an unsupported use case. Record the reason for the decision and who owns it. Avoid treating every requested feature as a commitment, or closing a defect merely because it has been assigned.

Retest the behaviour

A fix should be checked with the original trigger and a relevant failure case. If the problem concerns a revised proposal, inspect the exported revision and the preserved original. Save the release and test result with the issue.

Close the conversation

Tell an actual evaluator what changed only through an authorized communication. Ask for another review where they agreed to it. ContractCanvas can demonstrate assignment, resolution and reopening in its local queue. That functionality does not establish that a customer supplied the observation or accepted the fix.
