Review a consulting outreach list before sending
A researched contact route is a lead for qualification, not automatic permission to market.

Identify the message and basis
For a proposed commercial electronic message, record the recipient, purpose and applicable consent or other legal basis. Canada’s anti-spam guidance distinguishes express and implied consent. A published address has conditions; it does not create unrestricted permission for any campaign.
Keep the evidence
Retain the source, date and relevant role information. Check restrictions and the proposed message’s relevance. If the basis cannot be established, leave the message unsent. Asking for consent by promotional email can itself fall within the commercial-message rules.
Operate the exit
Use the required sender identification and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism. Maintain a suppression record and apply it before another send. A different campaign name should not place a person back into outreach after withdrawal.
Separate research from results
The ContractCanvas directory holds researched organizations and prepared questions. It does not record contact, interest or customer status. Its draft invitation becomes an actual communication only when the responsible founder verifies the basis, completes sender particulars and authorizes sending.
